Deforestation and Global Warming
Global Warming is sometimes thought of as inevitable, but humans do play a large role in speeding up the process of the Earth heating up. Global Warming is the uncontrollable heating of the Earth, but some think Global Warming is the doing of humans, who increase the amount of greenhouse gases in the air. Studies have shown that automobiles make up 14% of Global carbon emission while deforestation is accountable for 15%. Rainforests are also responsible for making 20% of the Earth’s Oxygen. The reason deforestation has such a large amount of carbon emission is because trees take some of the carbon dioxide in the air out, which deducts the amount of greenhouse gases and gives us Oxygen. Carbon Dioxide is one of the main greenhouse house gases, and since the Industrial Revolution, Carbon Dioxide levels have risen 36%. Without having trees as filters to reduce the amount of carbon dioxide, our planet is taking a big downfall because of something as simple as cutting down trees.
